Willenborg, Brasel, and Dinsmore Named Partners

Ethan J. Willenborg, Jessica A. Brasel, and Mark W. Dinsmore II have been named partners of Knapp, Ohl & Green in Effingham.

Willenborg is a native of Effingham and attended law school at DePaul University School of Law in Chicago. His practice centers on defending employers in general civil liability claims with an emphasis on workers' compensation.

Jessica Brasel is from Sigel and graduated from St. Louis University School of Law. Her practice centers on defense of individuals and businesses in civil claims.

Bedwell and Stella are Elevated to Partner at MKFM Law Firm

Joshua D. Bedwell and Lindsay C. Stella have become partners at Stella Mirabella, Kincaid, Frederick & Mirabella, LLC. Both attorneys practice primarily family law for the Wheaton  law firm.

Attorney Joshua Bedwell joined MKFM in January 2012. He earned his juris doctor from the John Marshall Law School in 2010 and worked as an assistant corporation counsel for the city of Chicago.

Boyle, Feinberg, and Sharma Form New Law Firm

Chicago divorce and family law attorneys Janet Boyle and Joy Feinberg, founders of Boyle Feinberg P.C., joined forces with Chicago attorney Molshree “Molly” Sharma to form the new firm, Boyle Feinberg Sharma. Sharma was most recently a partner at Mandel, Lipton, Roseborough and Sharma, LTD in Chicago.

Scully Joins Heller, Holmes & Associates, P.C.

Conrad ScullyConrad Scully has joined the Mattoon law firm of Heller, Holmes & Associates, P.C. as an associate.

He graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law in May 2017. While in law school, Scully was a notes & comments editor for the Illinois Law Review and was also a peer adviser for incoming first year law students.

Prior to law school, Scully attended Purdue University, majoring in political science, and graduated with honors.

Scully will be concentrating in personal injury and wrongful death, worker’s compensation, and commercial litigation. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and Coles-Cumberland Bar Association.

Nancy Kasko Opens Family Law Practice in Warrenville

Nancy KaskoISBA member Nancy Kasko has started her own family law practice, named the Law Offices of Nancy Kasko, LLC. Her primary office is at 4320 Winfield Road, Suite 200, Warrenville, while her secondary office is conveniently located near the courthouse in Wheaton, at 2100 Manchester Road, Building C, Suite 1608.

Nancy Kasko helps clients with a variety of issues related to divorce and family law, including: 

  • Division of marital property;
  • Allocation of parental responsibilities;
  • Child support and spousal support;
  • Post-divorce enforcement and modification;
  • Divorce mediation;
  • Name change orders; and
  • Adoption and guardianship.

Kasko earned her J.D. in 2015 from the John Marshall Law School. She had previously worked in the finance industry for Fortune 500 companies such as Hewlett Packard and Westinghouse Electric. However, she wished to pursue a career in law, as her mother had before her.

After graduation, Kasko worked as an associate attorney for a suburban Chicago firm, focusing on family law. She is certified as a mediator by the Center for Conflict Resolution and has experience resolving civil disputes in Cook County. During her career, she has accumulated several honors, including a perfect 10 rating on Avvo and being named one of the 10 Best Female Attorneys of 2017 by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys.

Chase Hundman Joins Howard & Howard

Chase HundmanChase M. Hundman recently joined the Howard & Howard Associates, LLC Chicago office as a new associate.

Chase M. Hundman concentrates his practice in commercial litigation. He began his career with Howard & Howard as a summer associate in 2016. Prior to joining as a full-time associate, he was a judicial extern for Judge Jon DeGuilio at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. There, he drafted opinions and orders for the judge and attended court proceedings to advise on pertinent legal issues.

Mr. Hundman received his B.A., cum laude, from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2014 and his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2017. He is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois.

Hon. Jeffrey MacKay Appointed Circuit Judge

The Hon. Jeffrey S. MacKay, associate judge of the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit, has been appointed circuit judge of the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit, at Large, by the Illinois Supreme Court. The appointment will be effective Dec. 1 following the retirement of Hon. Kathryn E. Creswell. 

Hon. MacKay is a graduate of Kent College of Law, Chicago, 1992, and was admitted to the practice of law in Illinois in 1993.  Judge MacKay is currently an associate judge in the Misdemeanor Division of the 18th Judicial Circuit, having been appointed to the bench in April of 2013. He was in private practice for 12 years with the law firm of Ekl, Williams and Provenzale (2001-2013), and also served as an assistant DuPage County state’s attorney (1993-2001).  Judge MacKay is an active member of the DuPage County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. 

Elisha Deen Joins SI Elder Law

Deen is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in accounting. She is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Law with a certificate in Business and Transactional Law. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Missouri.

Deen has extensive experience in estate planning, probate, personal injury, worker's compensation, wrongful death, business litigation and real estate litigation. Ryne J. Vitug Joins Ariano Hardy Ritt Nyuli Richmond Lytle & Goettel, P.C.

Ryne J. VitguRyne J. Vitug recently joined Ariano Hardy Ritt Nyuli Richmond Lytle & Goettel, P.C., (AHR) as its newest attorney. Vitug will focus his practice on commercial and residential real estate and civil litigation cases.

Attorney Ryne Vitug is a graduate of DePaul University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science in 2013 and a Juris Doctorate in 2016. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2017. He is a member of the Illinois State, Kane County and DuPage County Bar Associations.

Before joining AHR, Vitug worked as a law clerk for the Office of the Illinois Attorney General. He also gained experience as an extern for the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Circuit Court of Cook County.

At the Kane County-based law firm of AHR, Vitug will work with accomplished attorneys in his areas of practice. Attorney Karrsten Goettel practices commercial real estate law, as well as residential real estate, corporate law, and estate planning and administration. Attorney Scott G. Richmond practices civil litigation, as well as commercial litigation, personal injury, workers’ compensation, landlord-tenant law, and zoning-land use law.

Outside of work, Vitug is a passionate sports fan, especially of the Chicago Cubs. Baseball fans may recognize that his parents named him after Cubs legend Ryne Sandberg.
