Some of the articles provided are from the Illinois Bar Journal, the Association's monthly publication. Others are from reports of annual proceedings, which represent speeches delivered to the general membership during past ISBA annual meetings. While most of the articles and speeches are dated, they provide insights into Lincoln and his career as a lawyer and may be of interest to teachers, students and the public.
In retyping the text, every attempt has been made to capture the flavor of the original publication, in that spelling and punctuation have not been corrected or updated.
