Shaikh v. Holder

Bd. did not err in affirming IJ’s denial of alien’s applications for asylum or withdrawal or withholding of removal based on claim that aliens had been persecuted by members of Muttahida Quomi Movement (MQM) in Pakistan on account of their political opinions. Bd. could properly find that MQM targeted aliens for reasons unrelated to their political affiliation where record showed that any serious threats or actual violence against aliens by MQM supporters were primarily motivated by fact that aliens had engaged in extra-marital affair.
