ISBA Midyear Meeting (Joint meeting with the Illinois Judges Association)

Join us for our grand pas de deux this December as members of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Illinois Judges Association gather in Chicago to conduct the business of the bench and bar and celebrate professional achievements.
Our suite of programs begins Thursday with the Opening Reception where you can mix and mingle with colleagues and new acquaintances. For those of you interested in pursuing a career as a law professor or administrator, we invite you to stay after the reception to attend a related program sponsored by SIU School of Law.
On Friday we will present two joint IJA/ISBA programs on Social Media, Ethics and You and Cutting Off the Third Branch – be sure to view the schedule inside for the wonderful line-up of speakers for these programs! Following the programs we'll gather for a special luncheon presentation on issues of equal access to justice by featured speaker Bryan Stevenson. Later join us for a Master Series CLE program led by nationally recognized trial attorney and speaker, Roger J. Dodd, on Advanced Constructive Cross-Examination.
Friday evening we'll treat you to a magical celebration to salute and honor the Supreme Court of Illinois, featuring Chief Justice Thomas L. Kilbride, Supreme Court of Illinois, before sending you off to sleep with visions of sugar plums dancing through your heads.
All of these festivities will be staged at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers, where you are just a short march away from the holiday pageantry that downtown Chicago has to offer this time of year.
