Important Update on Illinois Lawyer Finder Directory

The Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) has chosen to replace the ReliaGuide platform that currently powers the Illinois Lawyer Finder public-facing member directory.  In the coming months, the ISBA will be launching a re-designed Illinois Lawyer Finder directory on the ISBA website.  The new Illinois Lawyer Finder will include both a public-facing directory and a members-only, lawyer-to-lawyer referral directory.  The use of these directories will be provided as a free ISBA member benefit.

When the ISBA launches its new association management system on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 (see the Bar News for further details), members will no longer be able to access or update their existing ReliaGuide profiles via the ISBA website. In addition, after February 17, 2026, the ISBA website will no longer link to the ReliaGuide directory.

If you wish to continue using your existing profile on the ReliaGuide platform, you will need to establish new sign-in credentials.  To do so, please visit ReliaGuide’s password reset page and follow the prompts.  It is suggested that you do this by January 20 to avoid sign-in issues.  For further information from ReliaGuide, visit the help page they have created for ISBA members.

If you do not wish for your profile to remain on the ReliaGuide platform, there is nothing you need to do.  On February 18, 2026, every ISBA member who has not created a new account with ReliaGuide will have their directory profile automatically removed.

Please stay tuned to ISBA communications in the coming months for further details on the launch of the new Illinois Lawyer Finder directory.

If you have questions about any of this, please contact Membership Services at either memberservices@isba.org or (217) 525-1760.
