Petition for Review, Order of Bd. of Immigration Appeals

Record failed to support IJ’s denial of alien’s asylum request, where alien alleged that she had been persecuted by Chinese authorities on account of her Christian religion, and where IJ based denial on perception that alien was not credible. Record did not factually support IJ’s credibility determinations with respect to 4 out of 5 alleged inconsistencies, and while record did support IJ’s finding that alien was not credible with respect to alien’s inconsistent answer regarding dates she obtained her student visa and passport, said inconsistency was not independently sufficient to support general finding of incredibility. As such, alien was entitled to remand for new consideration of her credibility.
