Motions to Dismiss
Plaintiffs filed complaint alleging that Defendant Association, a private organization, improperly denied Plaintiffs membership or particular positions in the Association. Court properly granted Defendant's motion to dismiss amended complaint with prejudice, pursuant to section 2-615, for failure to state a valid claim under Illinois law. Courts will not interfere to control enforcement of by-laws of voluntary associations, except where expelled member might suffer financial loss or economic necessity is at stake.(CONNORS and HARRIS, concurring.)
