Good Samaritan Act
The term “fee” in the Good Samaritan Act, is ambiguous; it is broad enough to encompass a patient being billed and a doctor being paid. The term “fee” must be construed as including a doctor’s compensation, so that the legislature did not intend that a physician being compensated for his time could claim immunity under the Good Samaritan Act. (GARMAN, FREEMAN, KILBRIDE, KARMEIER, BURKE, and THEIS, concurring.)
