Damages
Plaintiffs filed suit alleging negligence and wrongful pregnancy, after their daughter was born with sickle cell disease following mother's unsuccessful sterilization procedure. Where birth of a child with genetice abnormality is a foreseeable consequence of a negligently performed sterilization procedure and where parents' desire to avoid conception for that reason has been communicated to doctor performing procedure, parents may assert claim for extraordinary costs they will incur in raising their child to age of majority. (NEVILLE and MASON, concurring.)
