Biography
Ann Chang concentrates her practice in nonprofit, corporate, business, compliance, and transactional matters. Drawing on more than 15 years of in-house counsel experience, she serves as trusted outside counsel to nonprofit organizations, startups, closely held businesses, and established companies.
Ms. Chang advises nonprofit organizations on formation, governance, tax-exempt compliance, and operational matters. She also counsels businesses and nonprofits on commercial contracts, vendor and customer agreements, corporate governance, compliance, employment-related business issues, acquisitions, and day-to-day legal concerns. Her approach emphasizes practical, business-focused solutions that help organizations manage risk while advancing their missions and objectives.
Prior to joining Naumann & Associates, Ms. Chang served as Associate General Counsel for Thoughtworks, a global technology consulting company, where she spent more than 13 years advising on commercial transactions, contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, and U.S. immigration matters. She later served as the company's Global Immigration Lead, overseeing global immigration strategy and compliance programs.
Ms. Chang earned her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and her B.A. in English from the University of Michigan. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois.
