Legislation
The Section Council reviewed 29 bills that may affect their members’ practice area. Highlights of the most recent legislative session include:
- Senate Bill 3791 prohibits an animal shelter from euthanizing any dog, cat, or other domesticated animal.
- House Bill 4590 allows animal shelters and animal control facilities to waive the adoption fee for veterans to adopt a dog or a cat.
