RICHARD W. ZUCKERMAN ELECTED TREASURER
OF ILLINOIS STATE BAR ASSOCIATION

Attorney Richard W. Zuckerman, of Peoria, has been elected treasurer of the 30,000-member Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) by the organization's 25-member board, which functions as the governing body of the state's largest bar association.

Zuckerman is in private practice in Peoria, concentrating in the areas of family law and mediation.

An ISBA Board of Governors member, he has chaired and is a member of several committees including Amicus, ARDC [board liaison], Delivery of Legal Services [board liaison], Scope & Correlation, and the Personnel committee. He is the board liaison to the ISBA Bench & Bar Section Council.

A member of the Peoria County Bar Association, Zuckerman has chaired its Ad Hoc Committee on Mediation and Arbitration, and is a member of the Budget, Family Law and Professional Standards committees. He is a past president of Abraham Lincoln Inn of the American Inns of Court, and a Fellow and vice president of the Board of Managers of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers-Illinois Chapter.

He has authored materials and is a frequent lecturer on family law and related topics.

Zuckerman received his B.S. degree from Bradley University in 1973 and his J.D. degree from The John Marshall Law School in 1976.

The Illinois State Bar Association, with offices in Springfield and Chicago, provides professional services to Illinois lawyers, and education and services to the public.
