Biography
When you are charged with a crime, it can feel like your life is over. Sometimes, when you were charged with a crime, it can follow you for the rest of your life. That is where I come in. Whether you are charged with a crime now or were charged with a crime in the past, my goal is to return your life to normal. I pride myself on the fact that I think about where my clients will be in a year, or five years, or ten. I want to ensure that each and every client can move on with their lives, instead of letting an offense follow them the rest of it.
I can help like no other:
- Experience: more than 20 years in criminal law with a history of beating cases and reducing penalties throughout central Illinois.
- Aggressive Defense: I am very proactive on a case at reviewing evidence, and seeking to dismantle the prosecution’s case.
- Knowledge: licensed in more than one state, in federal court, and before the U.S. Supreme Court means I have the education, background, and familiarity with the law that you need.
- Active Communication: communication is key, and I foster a relationship with clients by providing prompt explanations, legal options, and updates on case progress.
- Trust and Security: my job is not to pass judgment, but to be someone in whom my clients can confide; I seek to provide understanding and comfort to them as we navigate through a high-stress situation.
- Up-front pricing: with me, all prices are clear, and there will be no surprises.
I have helped countless clients beat their case, avoid prison, avoid a conviction, and get their cases dismissed. I have helped countless more clients get back on the road and clear up their criminal histories through driver’s license reinstatement, expungement, sealing, and pardons.
As a previous prosecutor, I can anticipate how a prosecutor will think, which helps me get the best possible outcome for my clients. As a frequent lecturer and author, I have taught the law to fellow attorneys and even judges, and teach people about their rights.
My track record speaks for itself, and we are available 24 hours a day.
