About the Bar

The purposes of this Association are:

  • to establish closer relationship and cooperation with the Illinois State Bar Association, and through it, with the American Bar Association;
  • to exert an influence for good on the life of the community;
  • to promote the efficient administration of justice and the constant improvement of the law;
  • to elevate the standards of integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession;
  • to cultivate a spirit of brotherhood and good fellowship among its members; and
  • to foster good will and cooperation between the Bar and Judiciary to disseminate information and exchange of ideas relative to legal practice, procedure and ethics.

Meetings are held in October, December, February, and June of each fiscal year.
