Interested in supporting the legal profession or other worthy causes with a monetary donation? The ISBA and its sister organization, Illinois Bar Foundation, offer meaningful ways for you to give back.

Illinois Lawyers’ Political Action Committee (LAWPAC)

The Illinois Lawyers’ Political Action Committee was created as a means of supporting the legislative goals of the ISBA and the legal profession of Illinois. The legislative positions of the legal profession often are opposed by highly organized and well-funded special interest groups and other professions. LAWPAC enables the ISBA and its members to support appropriate political, educational, and legislative activities. Donate to LAWPAC.

IBF/ISBA YLD Children’s Assistance Fund

The ISBA YLD Children’s Assistance Fund awards grants to 501(c)(3) organizations serving the State of Illinois. Bar Associations, though 501(c)(6) organizations, are encouraged to apply for project support. Illinois Bar Foundation

As the charitable heart of the ISBA, the Foundation has established a mission to enhance access to the civil justice system, especially for those with limited means and; to assist lawyers and their families who are no longer able to provide for themselves.

The Access to Justice program provides greater access to the civil justice system for those with limited means by:

  • Enhancing the availability of legal aid to those of limited means;
  • Engaging students and members of the legal profession to support and provide pro bono services;
  • Educating Illinois residents regarding their rights and responsibilities under the law.

The Lawyers Care program extends assistance to colleagues in need of support by providing direct financial support to lawyers or their families.

The Foundation is almost entirely funded by ISBA Members, law firms, and others serving the legal community. Donate to the IBF.
