Please provide any additional information you would like a prospective purchaser to know This business is difficult. You must be willing to work hard, be diligent, return client phone calls the very same day the calls come in, and work weekends on occasion. You must be detail oriented, patient, and honest with your clients at all times.
The practice "ebbs and flows." Sometimes you have four new clients in one week, and sometimes you have no new clients for one or two months. After having been in business since 1989, I find that the business goes "back & forth" between being busy and slow.

Year when practice established: 1968

Reason for selling: Retirement. My father started this law practice in 1968 and I joined him in 1990.

Is transition assistance available? Yes, I can assist by introducing the new owner to existing clients, mentoring the new owner if desired, and thereafter possibly serving as a temporary consultant or "of counsel" for a short time if the new owner wishes.

Please provide any additional information you would like a prospective purchaser to know I also own and will be selling my office building, buildable vacant lot next door, large parking lots, all equipment including computer hardware and software, commercial telephone system, conference tables, workspace desks, appliances, etc. I have many long term clients, therefore I do not rely on a small number of clients to drive income. This law practice has generated consistent revenues for many years from referrals by satisfied clients with no advertising/marketing necessary due to the firm's "good will" value. In recent years some potential business and clients have been referred out by me to other lawyers as I wind down. Therefore there is much growth potential to keep multiple lawyers busy, if desired. Present staff are well trained/experienced and would help the new owner with a seamless transition.
