Defendant was found guilty of two counts each of possessing narcotics with intent to distribute, possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. The evidence used to convict him was obtained pursuant to a warrantless search conducted in accordance with the terms of defendant’s supervised release from a prior conviction. Defendant appealed from the trial court’s denial of his motion to suppress. The Seventh Circuit affirmed, noting that its review was hindered by a failure by the parties to fully develop the record on appeal but nevertheless finding that the searches were reasonable and permissible under the terms of the defendant’s supervised release.
