Federal 7th Circuit Court
Criminal Court
Cumulative Error
Defendant was found guilty of attempted enticement of a minor and traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual activity. On appeal, defendant challenged a number of the district court’s decisions, including the exclusion of his experts, comments made by the prosecutor during closing argument, and the jury instructions. The Seventh Circuit affirmed, finding no reversible error and explaining that even there were errors, they could not have affected the verdict given the amount of evidence against the defendant.
