Federal 7th Circuit Court
Civil Court
Employment Discrimination
Plaintiff filed a lawsuit for employment discrimination, alleging that he was improperly removed from a relief operation and suspended without pay because of his sex and age, that he was subjected to a hostile work environment, and retaliated against based on his pursuit of an internal complaint of sex discrimination. The district court granted summary judgment in favor of the defendant and plaintiff appealed. The Seventh Circuit affirmed, finding, among other things, that plaintiff failed to make a prima facie showing of age or sex discrimination where plaintiff did not identify any evidence that his supervisors were motivated by age or sex in deciding to discipline him.
