Federal 7th Circuit Court
Criminal Court
Sufficiency of the Evidence
Defendant was found guilty of possessing four firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. On appeal, defendant challenged the sufficiency of the evidence for his firearm conviction and the admission of certain expert testimony. The Seventh Circuit affirmed, finding that the government presented “overwhelming” evidence of defendant’s guilt and that the district court did not err in the admission of evidence.
