Unlawful use of weapons by felons statute does not violate the second amendment's right to bear arms. Statute criminalizes knowing possession of firearm ammunition alone, without regard to whether the defendant also possesses a firearm. Statute is a valid exercise of State's right to protect citizens from potential danger posed by convicted felons in possession of firearms or firearm ammunition, and is rationally related to this legitimate government purpose.(PIERCE and MASON, concurring.)
