Possession of Weapons
Defendant, who was under 18 at time of arrest, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition. Officers arrested Defendant, then escorted him outside his home and, before placing him in squad car, searched Defendant and found a gun in his pants pocket. Where officers had probable cause to arrest Defendant, although their entry into his home to arrest him was unlawful, the evidence recovered outside his home is not is not required to be suppressed.
