Court properly granted summary judgment for Defendant, a former branch sales manager for Plaintiff, in Plaintiff's action for breach of noncompetition agreement. Defendant's invitations to connect via LinkedIn were sent from his LinkedIn account through generic e-mails which contained no solicitation to leave their place of employment. Defendant's post of a job opening with his new employer on his public LinkedIn portal was not inducement or solicitation in violation of noncompetition agreement. Court within its discretion in denying Plaintiff's Rule 191 request for additional discovery, as Plaintiff failed to counter Defendant's motion to summary judgment and attached affidavits with evidence that created genuine issue of material fact. (CONNORS and MIKVA, concurring.)
