Plaintiff sued city, alleging city failed to pay Plaintiff for construction project completed in the city. Court properly denied Defendant's motion to transfer cause from St. Clair County to Madison County. Plaintiff alleges underlying occurrences giving rise to its breach of contract and tortious interference claims at least partially occurred in St. Clair County. Thus, Plaintiff's allegations satisfy transactional prong of municipal corporation venue statute. City limits encompass both St. Clair County and Madison County, but city's street department, with whom Plaintiff communicated via e-mail about project, is in St. Clair County.(CHAPMAN and OVERSTREET, concurring.)
