People v. Bryson

In stipulated bench trial, Defendant was found not guilty by reason of insanity of attempted aggravated kidnapping, and remanded to custody of Department of Human Services. Court properly denied Defendant's petition for conditional release. Court gave proper consideration to factors listed in Section 5-2-4(g) of Unified Code, weighed testimony of experts, and properly considered recommendations of treatment team. Court properly considered that Defendant engaged in inappropriate behavior within structured environment while on scheduled and monitored medication.(KNECHT and CAVANAGH, concurring.)
