Employment Contract
Park District filed declaratory judgment action against Defendant based on contract employing him as the park director, who filed a counter-complaint alleging that Park District breached the contract. Section 8-1(i) of Park District Code grants park districts the authority to potentially bind future park district boards to the employment of a park director. Court erred when it ruled that employment contract was ultra vires because it improperly bound future boards, and thus court erred in granting Park DIstrict's motion to dismiss. (HOLDRIDGE and WRIGHT, concurring.)
