Ineffective Assistance of Counsel
Defendant was convicted, after jury trial, of 2 counts of 1st degree murder, 2 counts of armed robbery, and 1 count of aggravated arson, and sentenced to natural life for murders and consecutive term of 30 years for the other offenses. As circumstantial evidence is overwhelming, had defense counsel given a closing argument, the outcome of case would not have been difference. Thus, no ineffective assistance of counsel. (HARRIS, concurring; CUNNINGHAM, specially concurring.)
