Defendant pled guilty to unlawful possession of a controlled substance.  He was sentenced to first-offender probation under section 410 of the Illinois Controlled Substance Act. Court properly denied Defendant's subsequent motion to withdraw his guilty plea. Record supports the trial court’s finding that defense counsel adequately advised Defendant of the risk of deportation as a consequence of his plea and that Defendant knowingly decided to take the plea and address the resulting immigration consequences later. Defense counsel told Defendant that if he pleaded guilty, he was “deportable,” and was “most likely going to be deported.” No ineffective assistance of counsel. (JORGENSEN and BRIDGES, concurring.)
