Personal Jurisdiction
Plaintiff filed a complaint alleging medical negligence against multiple defendants. Circuit court denied motion to dismiss by two of the defendants, who are located in Wisconsin, for lack of personal jurisdiction. On appeal the appellate court reversed, agreeing with defendants that they did not have sufficient minimum contacts with Illinois to satisfy the requirements for personal jurisdiction.
