Cook County Sheriff Department of Corrections v. Illinois Human Rights Commission

Appeal on a petition for direct review of a final decision of the Illinois Human Rights Commission, which found petitioner failed to provide a reasonable accommodation for the disability of respondent in violation of the Illinois Human Rights Act when respondent failed to provide reasonable accommodation for petitioner’s asthma. The appellate court dismissed the appeal, finding that the petitioner failed to exhaust all administrative remedies prior to seeking judicial review.
