Petition to Vacate Judgment
Defendants appealed from a trial court order denying their petition to vacate judgment under section 2-1401 of the Code of Civil Procedure in which they alleged that plaintiffs attained a judgment by fraud. The appellate court reversed and remanded, finding that the trial court erred by dismissing defendants’ petition and remanded so that the trial court could conduct an evidentiary hearing to explore defendants’ allegations of false testimony.
