Illinois Appellate Court
Civil Court
Medical Practice Act
The Illinois Department of Professional Regulation indefinitely suspended plaintiff’s medical license for a minimum of 18 months. The circuit court affirmed the suspension and the plaintiff appealed. The appellate court also affirmed, finding that the Department did not abuse its discretion where the record established that the basis for the discipline was the protection of the public and that the imposition of an indefinite suspension was appropriate under the Medical Practice Act.
