In re H.C.

Respondent appealed from a trial court finding that the respondent’s minor children were abused and neglected under the Juvenile Court Act and ordering that two of her children be placed with DCFS and a third child placed with their biological father. The appellate court reversed and remanded, finding that the trial court committed reversable error where additional discovery, including more than 18,000 pages of medical records, was disclosed during the hearing on wardship and that respondent’s counsel was deficient when he failed to object to the late disclosure.
