Illinois Appellate Court
Criminal Court
Motion to Suppress
Defendant was convicted of first-degree murder and argued on appeal that the trial court erred when it denied his motion to suppress his confession. Defendant also argued that the trial court improperly limited his ability to elicit testimony regarding extenuating circumstances and that it erred when admitted evidence of his prior conviction for aggravated robbery for the purposes of impeachment. The appellate court affirmed, finding that the trial court did not err when it denied defendant’s motion to suppress and did not commit any error in the admission of evidence.
