Civil Procedure
The plaintiff appealed from an order of the circuit court suppressing evidence obtained after the defendant submitted to field sobriety testing and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in violation of village ordinances. The appellate court dismissed the appeal for lack of jurisdiction, finding that the village did not have the authority under SCR 604(a) to bring an interlocutory appeal in conjunction with a matter seeking to enforce a violation of a village ordinance.
