Illinois Appellate Court
Civil Court
Education Expenses
Plaintiff appealed from an order of the trial court dismissing her claim for support and education expenses against the defendant estate. The trial court found that the proceeds from the decedent’s life insurance policy satisfied his financial obligations under the marital settlement agreement. The appellate court affirmed, finding that the payments from the decedent’s life insurance policy exceeded the amount that the decedent was obligation to provide under the terms of the MSA.
