Starr v. Presence Central and Suburban Hospitals Network

Plaintiffs filed a lawsuit alleging medical negligence and defendants filed a motion to transfer on grounds of forum non conveniens. The trial court denied the motion and defendants filed an interlocutory appeal. The appellate court affirmed, finding that the trial court properly considered the various public and private factors and did not abuse its discretion in its application of the factors or in the degree of deference given to the plaintiffs choice of forum.
