Illinois Appellate Court
Criminal Court
Pretrial Release
Defendant filed an appeal challenging the trial court’s denial of his “motion for relief” that sought a reconsideration of the trial court’s finding that he should be detained prior to trial. The appellate court dismissed the appeal, finding that defendant’s motion did not constitute a motion for relief under Illinois Supreme Court Rule 604(h)(2) because it failed to properly identify alleged errors made by the trial court.
