Mootness Doctrine
In consolidated appeals of a matter involving the adjudication of five minor children as wards of the court due to abuse and neglect, the minors appealed and argued that the trial court erred in declining to find that they were physically abused. The appellate court dismissed the appeal as moot where there were bases for the juvenile court’s order that were not challenged and where no exceptions to the mootness doctrine applied. (MARTIN and ROCHFORD, concurring)
