Respondent appealed from a decision of the circuit court in favor of petitioner that revised its child support order so that respondent’s child support payments were increased based on the court’s finding that petitioner had no gross income. The appellate court affirmed, finding that the free rent received by petitioner did not constitute “income” for the purposes of calculation of child support, noting that finding to the contrary would defeat the application of section 505(a)(3.3b) of the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act “in the exact circumstance where it was meant to apply.” (JOREGENSEN and BIRKETT, concurring)
