Plaintiff filed a wrongful death and survival action alleging injuries resulting from exposure to asbestos. Defendant appealed after the trial court denied the defendant’s motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction. The appellate court affirmed, finding that plaintiff made an adequate showing that defendant had the requisite minimum contacts with Illinois to satisfy the requirements for specific personal jurisdiction, that the plaintiff’s action arose out of or related to those contacts, and that it was reasonable for the matter to be litigated in the state of Illinois.
