The 2017 ISBA High School Mock Trial Invitational will be held on March 11 and 12, 2017, at the University of Illinois’ College of Law in Champaign. Schools from across Illinois are currently registering to participate in the event. This is the fourth year the event will be held at the College of Law, and the ISBA is looking forward to another great event!

Students from high schools around the State of Illinois will compete in jury trials, undertaking roles as prosecutors, defense counsel and witnesses. The top eight teams will compete in the final round on Sunday, March 12, for the state championship. The winning team will represent the State of Illinois at the National High School Mock Trial Championship in Hartford, Connecticut.

This year’s case is People v. Cartwright, a criminal case involving the death of a college student and allegations of hazing.
