Illinois FOID lawsuit: Federal challenge filed against state gun owner ID law

A new federal lawsuit is challenging Illinois’ requirement that gun owners obtain a Firearm Owner’s Identification card, commonly known as a FOID, before possessing firearms or ammunition.
