Illinois lawmakers amended section 7 of the Freedom of Information Act to exempt certain data elements from the Illinois Health and Hazardous Substances Registry from public inspection and dissemination. 5 ILCS 140/7.

Illinois lawmakers amended the State Police Act to add section 30, which requires the use of video recording cameras in patrol vehicles. 20 ILCS 2610/30.

The Illinois State Board of Education recently adopted amendments to 2 Ill Adm Code 5001, effective on February 22, 2005. 

The Illinois Department of Public Aid recently adopted amendments to 2 Ill Adm Code 1101 effective on July 1, 2004. 

In May, the General Assembly approved an amendment to the Freedom of Information Act and sent it to the governor's desk.

Public Act 90-670 amends the Freedom of Information Act to allow the public access to records including complaints, results of complaints, and Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) staff findings of licensing violations at day care facilities.

On August 24, 1998, the Office of Illinois State Treasurer adopted amendments to sections 651.101, 651.103, and 651.APPENDIX B. 2 Ill Adm Code 651.
