In order to better provide medical schools with information regarding matriculants, the Department of State Police Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois, 20 ILCS 2605/2605, is amended by adding section 2605-327. 

Effective August 9, 2005, the Teachers' Retirement System (TRS) has added a new section to Part 1650 of Title 80, 80 Ill Adm Code 1650. 

In Part 1600 of Title 80, 80 Ill Adm Code 1600, the State Universities Retirement System (SURS) has added a new section. 

The State Board of Education recently amended Part 1 of Title 23, effective July 13, 2005.

The Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) recently amended Title 23, Part 1501, of the Illinois Administrative Code (23 Ill Adm Code 1501).

Effective on March 28, 2005, the Illinois State Board of Education amended subsections 4545 and 5520 of 44 Ill Adm Code 1100. 

Effective on March 22, 2005, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity adopted 14 Ill Adm Code 110.

In response to the problems of hunger and food insecurity facing Illinois families as a result of increasing unemployment, the Childhood Hunger Relief Act was passed on February 15, 2005, as a means of alleviating malnutrition and promoting academic achievement in low-income children. 

The Illinois State Board of Education recently adopted amendments to 2 Ill Adm Code 5001, effective on February 22, 2005. 

Effective December 8, 2004, the School Code was amended by adding 105 ILCS 5/17.3.5, to indicate the maximum-authorized district educational tax rate.

Effective October 8, 2004, the School Code (105 ILCS 5) has been amended to include a new provision under section 18-8.10.

Criminal street gang recruitment on school grounds or on public property adjacent to school grounds is a Class 1 felony. 

Fire sprinkler systems are required in the dormitories of all post-secondary educational institutions by 2013.

The Illinois Student Assistance Commission recently adopted amendments to 23 Ill Adm Code 2775.20 and 2775.50. 

The Illinois State Board of Education recently adopted amendments to 23 Ill Adm Code 350 effective on May 3, 2004.

Each school year, school districts may recover expenditures made to a regional transportation authority, or any of its service boards, a mass transit district, or an urban transport district under intergovernmental agreements with the district to provide for transportation of pupils.

Effective immediately, the State Board of Education will provide for the registration and recognition of non-public elementary and secondary schools. Such schools may voluntarily register with the Board of Education on an annual basis.
