President Hartigan will make the report of the President and provide status updates on his presidential projects.

The Board will be requested to consider a policy change regarding the provisions of complimentary memberships to new lawyers.
6. SCOPE AND CORRELATION

The Standing Committee on Scope and Correlation will meet on March 22, 2018. Attached is a copy of the Agenda for the meeting. The Chair will make a report on any matters that require consideration by the Board.
11. ELECTIONS
Vacancy – Under 35 ABA Delegate – Outside Cook County
As there were no filings for this vacancy at the December, 2017 meeting of the Assembly or at the January, 2018 meeting of the Board of Governors, the Board has the responsibility to fill the vacancy. The term for this position is two years beginning June, 2018, and the delegate will begin service at the ABA annual meeting in Chicago in August, 2018. The term will end at the conclusion of the ISBA Annual Meeting in June, 2020. This vacancy was announced to the membership, and interested members were requested to submit their names for consideration. To date, we have not received any nominations. Nominations will be taken from the floor.

General Counsel Northrup will provide a status update on pending Supreme Court Rules.

A. Historical Preservation Commission Request
A representative from the Illinois Supreme Court Historical Preservation Commission will be present to discuss a request being made of the Board. Please refer to attached letter from Friends of the Illinois Supreme Court Preservation Commission.

President Hartigan will provide a status report on the subject of bail bond procedures in Illinois.
