Open Meetings Act
(Kosel, R-New Lenox; Garrett, D-Lake Forest) requires that (1) public bodies approve minutes of open meetings within 30 days after the meeting or at its second regularly scheduled subsequent meeting, whichever is later; (2) those minutes must be posted within 10 days (now, 7 days) after approval of the minutes; and (3) any person be permitted an opportunity to address public officials under rules established and recorded by the public body.
