Issues and Recommendations Report: When it is time to step back and consider where you are, where you want to be, and what you have to do to get there, an issues and recommendations report is a great place to start. Firm Members complete an electronic survey prepared by Affinity.  Once the survey results are received, we schedule a call (or calls!) with the firm to discuss the results, continue our conversations about firm goals, and then prepare a report (typically 30-50 pages) that considers every issue and topic revealed by the completed questionnaire and our subsequent communications. The report can be used as a technology plan and practice management roadmap.

New Firm Launch: For any lawyer considering or planning on going out on their own, we offer a service that outlines in detail everything they need to consider when it comes to starting their firm.  It starts out with discovery calls where we learn about their practice, the software they have previously used, along with many other details, and ends with our recommendations report.  Our report includes advice on computers, servers, cloud services, email, printing, scanning, phones, matter management and billing software, pdf creation software, branding process design, website development, and much more.

Trust Account Review: This product is designed to give lawyers confidence that they have the right processes and procedures in place to stay compliant with the trust accounting rules.  We have a call with the firm to discuss their processes when it comes to maintaining and reconciling their trust account, we review their last 6 months of reconciliations, we review the current state of trust funds held, and then we provide a report with our recommendations for resolving any identified issues.

Software Selection: This product is designed to help a firm of 10 people or less choose a new product or a replacement product based on their practice areas, workflows and requirements.  This service would be available for matter management, time/billing/accounting or document management software.  Affinity will conduct a needs analysis and an assessment of what they currently use, build a requirements document, attend (or conduct) demonstrations and help them make a final decision.

Paperless Office Assessment: This product focuses on helping a firm create or refine their paper reduction strategy.  We will review the processes around scanning, document retention, archiving, electronic document storage, sharing and collaborating on documents, document review and more.  All this work is done remotely.

Productivity/Profitability Assessments: This product focuses specifically on lawyer profitability and productivity as it relates to time entered, time billed and collections, as well as a review of the general ledger and financial statements for firms under 25 total users.  From there, we will work with the firm to determine what kind of reporting they need/want, and how to put processes in place to help them understand their business from a financial perspective.  All of this work is done remotely.
