Plaintiff filed a lawsuit against four Chicago police officers alleging that they violated his rights under the U.S. Constitution and subjected him to malicious prosecution under Illinois law. The district court entered summary judgment in favor of the defendants and plaintiff appealed. The Seventh Circuit affirmed, finding that the officers were entitled to qualified immunity on the federal claims and that the officers had at least arguable probable cause to arrest the plaintiff, which defeated his state law claim.
