Federal 7th Circuit Court
Civil Court
Bankruptcy Code
In a bankruptcy matter, a non-priority, unsecured creditor objected to a repayment plan that required the debtors to pay their attorney’s fees before paying debts owed to non-priority, unsecured creditors. The bankruptcy court overruled the objection and the debtor appeal. The Seventh Circuit affirmed, finding that the district court’s analysis was consistent with the applicable statutory law.
